Final Teaser for Kia’s New Sport Sedan

Final Teaser for Kia’s New Sport Sedan

Before it gets officially unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, a fourth and final teaser has been released for Kia’s new sport sedan.

In the first video, Kia showed off its performance with clips of the new sedan taking on the legendary Nürburgring track in Germany. We see a clip of the car reaching 277 km/h, which equals about 172 mph, and would make it the fastest Kia to date.

The second video shows the car going from 0-100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds at the Namyang R&D Center test track in South Korea. And, in the third video we get glimpses of the car’s profile, its curves, headlight design, and an overall feel for the car, but not really any colors.

In the final video, we get to see the car in a stunning shade of red and see a few more angles than we did before, including a hood scoop, a peek at the interior, multiple exhaust tips, the turbocharged engine, and a glimpse at some of its technology.

We’ll learn all the details about Kia’s new sport sedan, including its name, at the show when it is revealed on January 8th. What features do you hope to see in this all-new sport sedan from Kia.

Kia’s Autonomous Concepts at SEMA

Kia | Bob Sight Kia | Independence, MO

Automakers from around the globe are hard at work creating the next generation of vehicles, many of which will feature some form of autonomous technology. Kia is getting the jump on the competition with its concepts. Kia’s autonomous concepts debuted at the 2016 SEMA aftermarket auto parts show, giving drivers a closer look at what to expect from the South Korean brand in the years to come.

Each concept vehicle boasted its own specific theme, much to the pleasure of attendees.

The Kia Niro hybrid came equipped with necessary items for a triathlete. The Kia Sedona boasted a School of Rock theme that put emphasis on music education. The Kia Sorento Gondola brought everything a skier needs. The Kia Soul First Class came designed for urban youth. The Kia Telluride luxury SUV concept rounded out the list.

That’s great and all, but how is it autonomous, you ask?

Well, Kia wasn’t aiming to show off its actual technology. Each of the vehicles gave some insight as to what passengers could do in an autonomous vehicle.

The Sedona, for example, looked like a rolling recording studio while the Sorento had treads rather than wheels and a bedliner-spray interior to protect from salt and water.

All in all, we here at Bob Sight Kia are happy to see Kia taking a different perspective on autonomous technology!
